The mod tries to redeem her in the end, and forgiving her results in a good ending.
Again, this is a big problem, but something else the mod does makes it even worse. It also reinforces an incorrect view of Monika's character that lots of people in the community have, that she's this evil sociopath. Making Monika a one-dimensional villain is really insulting to how complex her character was in the original DDLC while at the same time being really easy to hate. She's a lot more cruel to the girls and even sadistic at times. This would've been enough to put it in D tier, maybe a low C tier if I felt generous, but there was one thing the mod did that I heavily disliked. The ideas presented in the mod might've been a lot more interesting had it been released in 2018, but as time passed and my standards for mods grew higher and higher, nothing about the mod struck me as original and I'm even struggling to remember events that happened in the mod amidst the dozens of other mods I've played. The mod was clearly meant to be released much sooner, but it was stuck in development hell for like two years I think. Part of the reason why it's so bland to me has to due with how late it was released. Most of what it did was alright, but there's nothing to me that stands out about it. Just like the last tier list, mods are ordered in descending quality within tiers and if you're curious about a mod's placement, I'll happily explain! But a lot of my opinions on mods have changed, and I did still play a few more mods, so I thought it would be worth updating.
